NMI’s Dr Khaled Chahine from the Gas Flow Standards section and Simon Dignan from the Londonderry Flow Facility section, recently attended the APPEA 2017 conference and exhibition, which was held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Perth.
APPEA is the largest annual upstream oil and gas event in the southern hemisphere, attracting delegates from across the country and around the world. Each year, this conference highlights and defines the issues and challenges of upstream petroleum exploration and development on a national and international level.
NMI had a booth at this exhibition which was used to promote and display NMI’s work related to the oil and gas industries including gas and liquid flow measurement, chemical composition testing and environmental testing.
Khaled and Simon interacted with several prospective and existing clients and also met with delegates and stakeholders from private industries, state government representatives and other federal agencies. Technical dialogues with many stakeholders has helped us make new connections and also given us better knowledge of the needs of the oil and gas industry.
