Approving authorities may be appointed to carry out pattern approval testing of measuring instruments used for trade or regulatory purposes. So far approving authorities have been appointed to test electricity meters, water meters and evidential breath analysers. Complete this form to express interest in (re)appointment as an approving authority.
To apply for pattern approval of a measuring instrument, a test report should be obtained from an approving authority and an application form for pattern approval should be submitted to NMI. Click here for more information on the pattern approval process.
