NMI has developed a range of sensitive and highly selective tests for the determination of pesticides and herbicides in groundwater, surface water, recycled and drinking water. All methods have NATA-accreditation.
The analytes have been chosen to represent typical pesticides of environmental concern as specified in regulatory guidelines. Recently NMI has expanded the list of pesticides available for testing and introduced a new test method. The new method (NR51 by UPLC/MS/MS) complements NMI’s existing pesticide methods (NR19 by GC/ECD/NPD and NR47 by GC/MS).

Glyphosate is the active ingredient of Round Up, a commonly used herbicide. Water regulators in Australia and overseas have set human health based limits and environmental guidelines for glyphosate. The Australian Drinking Water Guidelines state a guideline value of 0.01 mg/L for glyphosate in drinking water. NMI has developed a sensitive and highly selective method for the determination of glyphosate and its derivatives in drinking, recycled, ground and catchment waters.
