Pesticides and Herbicides in Water

Water dropletNMI has developed a range of sensitive and highly selective tests for the determination of pesticides and herbicides in groundwater, surface water, recycled and drinking water. All methods have NATA-accreditation.

Pesticides

The analytes have been chosen to represent typical pesticides of environmental concern as specified in regulatory guidelines. Recently NMI has expanded the list of pesticides available for testing and introduced a new test method. The new method (NR51 by UPLC/MS/MS) complements NMI’s existing pesticide methods (NR19 by GC/ECD/NPD and NR47 by GC/MS).

Herbicides

Glyphosate is the active ingredient of Round Up, a commonly used herbicide. Water regulators in Australia and overseas have set human health based limits and environmental guidelines for glyphosate. The Australian Drinking Water Guidelines state a guideline value of 0.01 mg/L for glyphosate in drinking water. NMI has developed a sensitive and highly selective method for the determination of glyphosate and its derivatives in drinking, recycled, ground and catchment waters.
