In 1994 the Senate agreed to a motion by Senator Harradine that all Commonwealth agencies table lists of relevant files depicting the operation of the agency. Relevant files are defined as files relating to policy advising functions, including any relating to the development of legislation and other matters of public administration. Senate Continuing Order No 6 was subsequently amended to require agencies to provide an indexed list on their website.
